Better together.
Coached for both.
Semi-private personal training is a shared 60-minute session with two clients and one trainer. You get attentive coaching, structure, and a plan that works for both people.
10-session package
Both participants complete a separate assessment. Your trainer will approve the pairing to ensure each person gets the most out of the sessions.
Training questions,
answered.
Starting something new should feel exciting, not overwhelming. Here are a few things worth knowing before your first session.
Do I need experience to start personal training?
Not at all. All IronBody trainers work with a wide range of experience levels, from brand-new clients to experienced lifters. Your trainer will adapt the workout, coaching, and progression to your current ability and goals. You do not need to be “in shape” before you begin.
What should I expect at my first assessment?
Your introductory assessment is 45 minutes. Plan for roughly 10 minutes to meet your trainer and discuss your background, goals, exercise experience, and any health or movement considerations, followed by about 30–35 minutes of guided exercise. Your trainer may adjust that balance to allow more time for movement assessment or questions. Come dressed and prepared to work out, and arrive a little early if you are new to IronBody. If you would like a studio tour, allow some extra time before or after your session.
Can I choose my trainer? How many introductory assessments can I book?
Yes. You can choose your preferred trainer, subject to availability. You may purchase and book your first introductory assessment yourself through our website or IronBody app. You may complete up to three introductory assessments in total; your second and third must be arranged directly with the Front Desk because staff approval is required. This gives you an opportunity to explore the coaching fit before choosing your next step.
How long is a personal training session?
Personal training sessions are 60 minutes, with approximately 45–50 minutes of active exercise. The remaining time allows for coaching, setup, transitions, and cool-down as appropriate. If you would like to stretch, use the sauna, or do additional cardio afterward, please plan extra time beyond your training appointment. Sauna use is subject to availability and applicable access rules.
What is semi-private personal training?
Semi-private training is two clients working with one trainer in the same session. Both people must first complete their own individual assessment, and the trainer must approve the pairing before semi-private training begins. This ensures the two clients’ needs, goals, and training levels can be accommodated so each gets meaningful coaching and value from the shared session.
How is group training different from semi-private training?
Group training is a coach-led, class-style workout on the open gym floor with up to four participants per coach. You follow a structured session while receiving guidance and form corrections. Semi-private training is specifically two clients with one trainer and is arranged after both have completed their individual assessments and the trainer approves the match.
Can I track my workouts, nutrition, and progress?
Yes. The IronBody Training App lets you view your trainer-assigned workouts and group training plans, follow video exercise guidance, track weights and reps, monitor progress, and log nutrition. Depending on your program, you can also access workouts of the day and other tools for staying consistent.
Can I train if I have an injury or am recovering?
Please share what you feel comfortable disclosing about an injury, surgery, pain, or physical limitation, while making sure your trainer knows the information necessary to exercise safely, including any relevant restrictions or movements to avoid. Depending on your circumstances, we may require medical clearance before training. Our trainers can adapt exercises within their professional scope, but personal training is not medical treatment or physical therapy. We encourage you to listen to your body, train smart, and avoid pushing through pain or risking a worsened or additional injury.
Can I bring my children to IronBody?
Yes. IronBody has a IronBody Kids Lounge that children may use while their parent or guardian works out onsite. It is not a staffed childcare service; parents or guardians must remain at the studio and are responsible for their children. Please contact the Front Desk before your first visit if you have questions about using the lounge during training.
How do I get started with semi-private training?
Begin by booking an individual personal training assessment for each participant. A trainer will review your goals, experience, and training needs separately and confirm whether semi-private sessions are a suitable match. After the trainer approves the pairing, the Front Desk can help arrange your 10-session package ($815) and schedule your shared sessions.
